Our Sunday morning education program involves circle time, centers, music with movement, and play. Our teachers love preschoolers and teaching biblical concepts to our children. We have regular meetings to train our teachers to communicate with preschoolers. Sunday School is a fun, educational learning environment for babies through kindergarten. We have a separate classroom for each age group with great teacher-child ratios.
Babies through Walkers are located on the 2nd floor, Midtown, of our Kiztown building. We are using The Gracious Mother Goose as our curriculum for our babies through walkers. The Gracious Mother Goose consists of familiar rhymes that have been transformed into Christ honoring poems and prayers. Nursery rhymes are often the first verses that young children hear and remember.
Toddlers through Kindergarteners are located on the 3rd floor, Uptown, of our Kidztown building. The first hour we conduct traditional Sunday School in which two teachers teach our Hands-On Bible Curriculum. We also have an opportunity for the preschoolers each hour to either go to music or play outside or in the Treehouse.
For the second hour of Sunday School, we have changed the format for 3 year olds through kindergarten. The toddlers and the 2 year olds continue their Hands-On Bible Curriculum during this hour. The 3 year olds through kindergarteners are participating in our Lil’Kidz program which is a modified children’s church for preschoolers. During this hour the children participate in crafts, centers, Bible study, remembering scripture, and some group activities. About twice a quarter, we have special days in which the children rotate to a variety of activities including rooms for the following activities: Bible Study, craft, music, games, play, centers, and snacks. In order to enjoy the entire rotation of activities the preschoolers need to attend both hours of Sunday School. Please note the schedule changes posted on the classroom doors.
